For the first time in its history, Altrincham & District Athletic Club has won a seven-club match in the UK Youth Development League Lower Age Group (Division 4 North West).
The team of 25 athletes, aged between 11 and 15, won the match at Trafford Athletic Club by 177 points and are now top of the North West 4 league table after two matches.
The athletes produced an amazing 54 personal best performances.
Team manager Mark Simpson said: “This is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of the young athletes, the parents who ferry them around to matches and training and to the coaches who volunteer their services to train them.”
