Police have called on residents to be extra vigilant after a spike in burglaries in the area.
After two BMWs were taken from a house on Woodlands Parkway yesterday morning, a further two burglaries took place in Timperley.
The first, on Victoria Road, happened during the day when offenders used a garden ornament to smash a glass panel at the rear of the house and gain entry to the property.
A number of items were stolen from inside the house.
And then on Green Drive in Timperley, offenders again smashed a rear patio window to gain entry to a property, although this time left empty-handed.
There’s also been a spate of recorded burglaries in neighbouring Sale in recent days, with the latest incident seeing a Citroen Relay 35 van stolen from a home on Park Avenue.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “Please be vigilant and look out for your neighbours. If you have a house alarm please use it. Please don’t leave keys in door locks or have car keys in sight.”
Anyone with information regarding any of the above incidents should ring 101 or speak anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
