Manchester United’s Paul Pogba has forked out almost £3m on a new mansion on one of Altrincham’s most exclusive streets.
But the Frenchman, who signed for the Old Trafford for a world record fee of £89m last summer, managed to save himself £600,000 off the asking price.
The 23-year-old has been living at the Lowry Hotel since his return to United, the club he originally played for between 2011 and 2012.
His new five-bedroom house, which includes a heated indoor swimming pool, saunas and his own media room, was originally on with Hale-based estate agent Jordan Fishwick for £3.49m when it was first listed on the market in 2015.
But although he earns a whopping £290,000 a week, it seems Pogba has retained an eye for a bargain.
