Firefighters helped rescue an occupant of a crashed car in Timperley on Friday.

Two crews from Altrincham and Sale were called to the scene of a collision at the junction of Eaton Drive and Riddings Road at 10.40pm on July 28th.

Also in attendance was the technical response unit and major rescue unit from Ashton.

Two cars were found to have collided and crews helped to rescue one casualty from a car.

Four others had already escaped their car and were checked at the scene by ambulance crews.

Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment, lighting and a longboard to free the trapped occupant. They were on the scene for an hour and 35 minutes.
