A new fish and chip shop is set to open in Hale village.
WA14 Fish & Chips, which will open at 120 Ashley Road, is the brainchild of Hale resident Andrew Clemmet.
He has taken a 930 sq ft retail unit on a 10-year lease following the required change of use from A1 to A5, which has now been granted.
Clemmet, owner of The Really Rather Good company which is behind the shop, said: “As a resident of Hale I saw an opportunity to bring a new fish and chip offering to the village, something that has been sadly lacking for far too long.
“As fish and chips remain a firm favourite we hope to create a strong, thriving business that establishes itself as a food outlet focal point for the community for the foreseeable future.”
Daniel Lee, director, Regional Property Solutions, who acted for the landlord LMO Property, said: “This letting will assist in re-positioning the ground floor element of this asset to independent food and leisure operators, which is where most of the demand is for in this location.”
