Carphone Warehouse is to close its Altrincham branch next week.
The retailer has occupied the prominent unit on George Street for over a decade but will close its doors on November 2nd.
Earlier this year, owner Dixons Carphone said it was planning to shut 92 of its 700 Carphone Warehouse standalone stores in response to a shift in consumer habits and rising costs.
It’s understood the store has simply not been making enough money to justify remaining open.
There’s no word as yet on what will replace it.
