Two men have been charged in connection with an incident in Bowdon on Wednesday night which saw a police vehicle apparently rammed.
We reported yesterday how officers were deployed to Marlow Drive after reports of an attempted burglary, with police reporting that a vehicle was used to ram a police car before driving off, with police in pursuit.
After 15 minutes the alleged offenders fled on foot, but were tracked down by police dogs.
Two men have now been charged with various offences.
Jordan Davies, 25, of Moor Lane, Manchester, has been charged with going equipped with intent to commit a crime, dangerous driving and possession of a Class B drug (cannabis).
Jack Joseph Meek, 22, of Tipton Drive in Baguley, has been charged with going equipped with intent to commit a crime, and obstruction of an emergency worker, meaning he tried to stop a police officer making an arrest by holding a police dog’s nose and head.
Both men will be appearing at Manchester Magistrates Court today.
