Italian-American chain Frankie and Benny’s has put its Altrincham restaurant up for sale.
The 120-cover restaurant believed to be one of a number of sites placed on the market by owner The Restaurant Group, which also owns brands including Chiquito’s and Garfunkel’s.
A number of Frankie and Benny’s restaurants in the region have closed in recent weeks, including in Leigh and Blackburn.
But the Altrincham restaurant – which is adjoined to the Vue Cinema on Denmark Street, will continue trading as normal until a buyer is found. It’s being marketed through Savills.
The Restaurant Group’s financial report for the year to December 2018 had identified 76 “structurally unattractive” Frankie and Benny’s locations.
