A new Tesco Express store is to open in Timperley.
The supermarket giant will be carrying out an extensive renovation on the One Stop store on Briarfield Road and rebranding it as a Tesco Express.
One Stop has been a subsidiary of Tesco since 2003 but operates as a separate business.
The renovation means the store will be closing on February 16th at 5.30pm and will not reopen until Thursday March 5th.
That also means the post office located in-store at One Stop will be closed during the refurbishment.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We are pleased to be rebranding our Altrincham One Stop store to a Tesco Express.
“The Tesco Express brand will better serve the people of Altrincham, offering the local community a broader range of both branded and Tesco own branded products, as well as more fresh food and food to go.”
The store will add to Tesco’s existing Extra store in Altrincham town centre and its Express in Hale.
