A private healthcare clinic in the heart of Hale has reopened following a major refurbishment and expansion, welcoming more than 50 patients in its first week.
Spire Hale Clinic, based in the former Royal Bank of Scotland building on Ashley Road, has undergone a significant transformation, expanding across two floors and introducing new diagnostic and treatment facilities.
The clinic originally opened more than a decade ago, occupying just the first floor of the building, with four consultation rooms, a patient waiting area and reception desk.
It temporarily closed in 2025 to allow for a major refurbishment, which included expanding into the ground floor.
The newly modernised clinic now features five consultation rooms, two treatment rooms for minor procedures, and on-site X-ray and ultrasound facilities.

A lift has also been installed to provide full accessibility to the first floor.
Patients can access a range of specialities including orthopaedics, general surgery, gynaecology, urology, cardiology and paediatrics.
Where further investigations or treatment are required, patients can access appointments across Spire Healthcare's three local hospitals in Didsbury, Warrington and Macclesfield.
During the clinic's first week, one walk-in patient was able to receive a consultation on the same day and secure a CT scan appointment at Spire Manchester Hospital later that week.
The reopening marks another chapter in the history of the Ashley Road building, which dates back to the 1920s and was originally constructed as a bank and two shops.
The Royal Bank of Scotland closed its branch there in November 2018, and the premises subsequently served as a temporary library while Hale's new Library and Community Centre was being built.

In 2024, Forward Property Group completed a major restoration of the Arts and Crafts-style building, creating three ground-floor retail units while retaining the clinic on the first floor.
Spire's subsequent expansion has now brought the ground floor into use as part of its enlarged healthcare facility.
Gemma Galvin, Operations Manager at Spire Hale Clinic, said: "We are delighted to welcome patients to our newly refurbished Hale Clinic.
"Our aim is to make accessing high quality healthcare as simple and convenient as possible, providing the local community with expert care closer to home.
"The response from the local community has been incredibly positive, with more than 50 patients visiting the clinic in its first week."
Spire Healthcare operates 38 hospitals and more than 55 clinics, medical centres and consulting rooms across the UK.
