Police searching for a man last seen at the Priory Hospital in Hale last week have found a body.
James Booth was last seen at the Rappax Road hospital at around 1.30pm last Wednesday.
Officers have spent the past week searching for James, with a statement from his family appealing for him to “come home, where you are loved”.
But police say they have now discovered a body.
Formal identification is yet to take place, but police appear to be confident that it is the missing man.
They say there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file will be passed to the coroner.
