A man has died while out walking this afternoon on Ringway Golf Course.
The man, understood to have been in his 70s and a member of the Hale Barns-based club, collapsed while walking on the 18th hole.
He was discovered by a passing jogger who provided medical attention and called the emergency services.
An air ambulance arrived at the scene, landing on the 18th fairway, but sadly the man was pronounced dead soon after.
We’re awaiting official confirmation from the police but at this stage there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
