A motorist has been caught driving at 92mph on a road in Dunham Massey – more than three times the speed limit.

Greater Manchester Police‘s traffic officers were carrying out checks on Paddock Lane in the early hours of this morning.

Officers say they had reported several drivers for speeding, with another clocked at 58mph.

Today #XT54 was conducting speed enforcement on Paddock Lane (30mph) @GMPAltrincham. Several vehicles stopped at varying speeds. Including one vehicle travelling at 92mph! The roads may be quieter, but the speed limits are the same! All drivers reported #SlowDownSaveLives pic.twitter.com/CExX46qpwJ

A tweet from GMP’s traffic officers read: “Today #XT54 was conducting speed enforcement on Paddock Lane (30mph) @GMPAltrincham.
