A 21-year-old man has appeared in court in Manchester charged with murdering Rico Burton in Goose Green in Altrincham on Sunday.
Liam O’Prey appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today.
He is also accused of assault and causing wounding with intent in relation to a 17-year-old boy and faces further charges of possession of a bladed article and possession of cocaine.
During a short hearing, O’Prey was flanked by extra security as he spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
He was remanded in custody to next appear at Manchester Crown Court on Friday.
O’Prey was arrested following the death of Mr Burton, 31, outside a bar in Goose Green in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A 20-year-old man who was also arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail pending ongoing enquiries.
