Two women arrested in Timperley after raid by County Lines police

Two women have been arrested in connection with the supply of Class A drugs after a raid at an address in Timperley.

A warrant executed by Greater Manchester Police on Carrfield Avenue yesterday uncovered contents in relation to a drugs operation, seizing a mobile phone used in the supply of Class A drugs, and a quantity of Class A drugs in deal sizes and a larger block.

Two women, aged 24 and 31, were arrested at the scene on possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

They remain in custody for questioning.

Detective Sergeant Chris Woodburn, of GMP’s Operation Challenger County Lines Team, said: “Acting on intelligence we believe we have cut another supply chain of drugs involving serious and organised crime gangs.

“We are determined to continue our robust action to tackle this type of crime that has devasting consequences to communities, especially vulnerable people.
