Police have released an image of two people they wish to talk to in connection with a “very frightening” incident in Altrincham that saw a woman injured after falling from a horse.
Officers say the woman was riding her horse in a field near to the Woodhouse Lane tip, in an area known as The Moss, at around 6.50 on Thursday 6th July.
Two males approached the woman before letting their dog, believed to be a Pitbull, off its lead.
The dog chased the horse, causing the rider to fall off at speed and suffer injuries. The injuries are non-life threatening or life-changing injuries.
The two males then left the area.
Officers have now released a photo of two people who they would like to speak to, as the pair may be able to help with their enquiries.
PC Lee, from GMP's Trafford district, said: "This was a very frightening incident for the rider, who was hurt as a result of the dog running towards her.
"We are currently looking into all relevant lines of enquiry, and I would ask anyone who knows anything to please get in touch."
