Altrincham brothel reopened by the same person arrested at premises four months ago

Police and officers from Trafford Council visited Sakura on Stamford New Road this week and discovered the premises being used for criminal activities.

An Altrincham massage parlour has been closed down for the second time in four months after it was once again found to be operating as a brothel.

Police and officers from Trafford Council visited Sakura on Stamford New Road this week and discovered the premises being used for criminal activities.

Extraordinarily, they also found the same people inside as when they had first visited back in August.

Following that visit, a 51-year-old woman had been arrested on suspicion of modern slavery offences and a three-month closure order made by Manchester Magistrates' Court.

However, it has now turned out that as soon as the three-month order had expired, the property's landlord had let the same people back in and the brothel had reopened.

Police said in a statement on the GMP Trafford South Facebook page: "The sharp eyed among you will note that this premises appear familiar. Back in August GMP and Council officers closed down the premises after it had been found to be operating as a brothel and an arrest for modern slavery offences was made.

"A three month closure order was made by the Magistrates Court.

"For some reason, once the order expired the landlord decided to allow the same people in again, so we visited this week with council officers where again, unsurprisingly the premises was found to be being used for criminal activities.

"The Council Community Safety Team have therefore obtained a further closure order, closing the premises for another three months, with an application already being prepared to extend for an additional three months. Any person found on the premises will face arrest."
