A 32-year-old man has been charged with Section 18 assault following an incident in Altrincham on Saturday that left a man with "life-changing" injuries.
We reported over the weekend that a 52-year-old man was pushed down a flight of stairs in a premises on The Causeway at around 2.10am on Saturday 8th June.
Now Niall Peak, of no fixed abode, has been charged with Section 18 assault, otherwise known as grievous bodily harm.
He has been remanded into custody ahead of a scheduled appearance at Minshull Street Crown Court on Monday 15th July.
The victim remains in hospital.
