The man who died following a tragic incident at an Altrincham scrapyard last month has been named.
Ricardus Makulis, 40, died at J. Davidson Scrap on Atlantic Street, Broadheath, on Wednesday, September 17.
Emergency services, including police, paramedics, fire crews and an air ambulance, rushed to the scene at around 3.15pm after reports of an incident. Craven Road was closed off as crews responded.
Sadly, Mr Makulis was pronounced dead at the scene.
The MEN has reported that he suffered a cardiac arrest after an object, believed to be a car, fell on him.
It's understood Mr Makulis was not a J Davidson employee, but worked for a company based in Lithuania.

South Manchester Coroner's Court has confirmed a file has been received regarding his death, and an inquest is expected to be opened in due course.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) previously confirmed they were aware of the incident and working with Greater Manchester Police. The HSE investigation is ongoing.
A spokesperson for J Davidson said at the time: "We are deeply saddened to confirm the fatal incident on the 17th. Our heartfelt condolences go to his family and loved ones affected by the loss.
"We are committed to offering support to the family and those affected. We are fully co-operating with the police and Health and Safety Executive."
