A Timperley school has honoured a teacher's 50-year career by naming its school hall after her.
Forest Preparatory School has renamed its hall The Eley Hall in recognition of the half-century milestone reached by Jennifer Eley.
Mrs Eley, who began her career in boys' boarding schools, has spent 46 years at the Timperley school having started on September 1st 1979.
"I wanted to work with children, as I couldn't have children of my own," Mrs Eley said. "I love being with children, and teaching is all I ever wanted to do."

Mrs Eley, who arrives at school by 7am each day, says she still remembers her interview at Forest Preparatory School when she had afternoon tea on the lawn with the headmaster.
She says she can still recall all the pupils' names from her first class - and has stayed in touch with one family she taught over 40 years ago.

Mrs Eley's advice to new teachers is simple: "Make everything engaging. See and treat each child as a separate individual, and respect their learning abilities."
Headmaster Mr Booth paid tribute to Mrs Eley's long service, saying: "Congratulations to Jennifer Eley on 50 remarkable years of inspiring minds, shaping futures, and leading with heart."
