Full programme unveiled for 10-day food and drink festival A Taste of Altrincham

The new event runs from Friday 28th February to Sunday 9th March.

Altrincham’s food and drink scene is set to take centre stage later this month with the launch of A Taste of Altrincham, a brand-new 10-day festival.

Organised by Altrincham’s Business Improvement District (BID) and supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the event runs from Friday 28th February to Sunday 9th March.

Headline sponsor Myerson Solicitors is backing the festival, which promises a packed programme of masterclasses, tasting events and exclusive offers across the town.

Food lovers can dive into a series of hands-on experiences, from perfecting sourdough bread with award-winning baker Aidan Monks (Lovingly Artisan) to learning the art of cooking with fish and shellfish with chef Robert Owen Brown at Cheshire Cookery School.

Unagi is offering a sushi-making workshop, while Memories Café Bar will be shaking things up with a cocktail making masterclass.

For those after something more indulgent, Blanchflower is hosting an exclusive steak and lobster evening, while Alibi will pair the perfect flavours at a wine and cheese night.

Nell’s Pizza is offering a pizza-making experience, and there's a tasting menu collaboration between Nina D and Rise & Grind.

It’s not just about food - there’s creativity on the menu too! Tre Ciccio will host a Sip and Paint night in collaboration with Moss Studio, and Everyman Altrincham is screening a selection of Foodie Films.

Sew Creative is inviting locals to Sip and Stitch their own iconic Altrincham shopping bag, while OYEZ Arts presents Creative Kitchen Orchestra, an interactive music-meets-food experience.

Families are well catered for, with Cook Stars and Cheshire Cookery School running children’s workshops to inspire the next generation of chefs.

Alongside these events, exclusive festival offers will be available at participating venues, with deals ranging from £5 to £50. Simply download a voucher from VisitAltrincham.com and redeem it at your chosen venue.

Printed programmes will also be available at Altrincham Library and local businesses from Thursday 20th February, and participating venues will display event window stickers.

Mandy White, Director of Altrincham BID, said: "A Taste of Altrincham is all about celebrating the incredible diversity of the town’s food and drink offerings.

"Whether you’re a foodie looking to explore new flavours or someone simply wanting to enjoy a meal with family or friends, there’s something for everyone. We are thrilled to have Myerson Solicitors on board as our headline sponsor, and we are grateful for the support provided by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.”
