For the first time in its seven-year history, Pride in Trafford is bringing its celebration of LGBTQ+ life and culture to Altrincham this week, with three special events scheduled at the Town Hall from Thursday.
It's all been made possible through a new partnership between Pride in Trafford, OYEZ Arts, Altrincham Library and Sale Waterside.
Here's the full line-up:

Rocketman Sing-Along Screening
Thursday 15 May, 7pm An interactive screening of the Elton John biopic featuring on-screen lyrics. Organisers are encouraging attendees to embrace the theme with flamboyant dress.

A [Cupboard] Full of Tomboys Performance
Friday 16 May, 7pm Liverpool poet and artist Jay Farley presents this powerful solo show exploring queer identity. The immersive performance has received critical acclaim, with poet Chris McAbe describing it as "a fast-moving stream of brilliance singing with the rhythms of Liverpool's streets."

Drag & Draw Creative Workshop
Sunday 18 May, 3pm A relaxed afternoon combining art and entertainment, where participants can sketch drag performers while enjoying DJ sets. No artistic experience required.

Pride in Trafford has established itself as a key fixture in Greater Manchester's cultural calendar, offering "a dynamic space for powerful performances, artistic showcases and joyous gatherings" since 2019.
