The countdown to Christmas has officially begun with Altrincham’s Christmas Lights Switch-On event now only a month away.
This year's spectacular event, called Neon Noel, will take place on Saturday 22nd November from 3–6pm and feature live music, festive entertainment and a neon theme - think glow sticks and neon face paint.
Topping the bill will be powerhouse 90s dance act Livin’ Joy ft. Luzahnn, best known for their global anthem Dreamer and Don’t Stop Movin’, which became defining hits of the decade’s club scene.

The celebrity guest who will push the big button to officially switch on Altrincham’s Christmas lights will be announced very soon.

Neon Noel is organised by Altrincham BID, the team behind Visit Altrincham, in partnership with Happy Radio. Additional funding has been provided by joint sponsors including Hill & Co Solicitors, Lund Bennett Law, Altrincham Football Club, Sportfive, Kitson Architecture, Improveasy, TGG, Selbourne Group and Omni RMS.
Mandy White, Altrincham BID Director, said: “Neon Noel is a fantastic way to kick off the festive season! We’re encouraging everyone to come along and grab their glow sticks, dress up in their brightest neon, and join us for an afternoon and early evening of music, fun, and festive cheer.
"It’s the perfect excuse to make a day of it in Altrincham – enjoy some early Christmas shopping, then stay for lunch before the big switch-on or dine afterwards.”
