Altrincham's much-loved Lantern Parade and Nativity Journey is set to return to the town centre this Christmas.
The free, family-friendly event, organised by Altrincham BID in partnership with St George's Church and Altrincham Garrick Playhouse, will take place on Saturday 13th December.
It will once again transform the town into a living Nativity story, complete with music, storytelling and a spectacular lantern parade.
Festivities begin at noon, when families can collect Nativity Trail Cards from Stamford Square to embark on their festive journey around the town.

Throughout the afternoon, they'll encounter characters from the Nativity story at various locations, while local schools and community choirs perform live on the Stamford Square stage.
For those wanting to take part in the parade itself, lantern-making workshops will be held at OYEZ Arts in Altrincham Town Hall, with bookings available via Eventbrite.
The highlight of the day comes as dusk falls, with the Lantern Parade gathering at Goose Green at 4pm before setting off at 4.45pm.

The procession will feature the full Nativity cast, local schoolchildren, illuminated lantern puppets and the Sale District Scout and Guide Band, winding its way through the town to culminate in a Live Nativity Performance in Stamford Square at 5.30pm.
Mandy White, Director of Altrincham BID, said: "The Lantern Parade and Nativity Journey truly capture the spirit of Christmas in Altrincham. It's a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, explore the town and celebrate the festive season."

Full details, including the parade route and locations of Nativity characters, will be announced soon.
The event is produced by Altrincham BID and supported by headline sponsor Stamford Quarter and the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
