Carols from King's Court returns for annual festive singalong

It's back on Thursday 18th December.

Altrincham's popular Christmas singalong event returns to King's Court next week, with organisers promising more space and improved sound for this year's event.

Carols from King's Court, now a fixture in the town's festive calendar, takes place on Thursday 18th December, from 6pm.

The free event, organised by Altrincham BID and sponsored by Circle Funerals, will feature performances led by Clare Morel and Richard Wetherall from The Music Place, accompanied by The Music Place Choir.

Song sheets will be handed out so audiences can join in with Christmas favourites.

Altrincham BID Director Mandy White said the event has grown year on year, prompting some practical changes for 2025.

"We're thrilled to welcome everyone back for what has become one of the most heart-warming events of the year," she said. "We will be moving seating around to create more space and upgrading the PA system because the event gets more popular each year."

The free event will take place in King's Court

King's Court venues including Cheshire Tap, Gin Can and Batch bottlestore will be serving mulled wine, seasonal cocktails and hot chocolate, while à burger will be serving food.

Sponsors Circle Funerals have included a memorial poem on the song sheets for those remembering loved ones at Christmas.

"Christmas can be a profoundly emotional time," said owners Sara and Jeremy Fixter. "We hope our memorial poem and information on continuing bonds offer comfort and open up conversations."
