The Stamford Quarter is set to host a free family event this Saturday as part of the town-wide A Taste of Altrincham festival.
Running from 12pm to 4pm, A Taste of Creativity celebrates the role food plays in community and culture, with a mix of interactive demonstrations, hands-on activities and plenty to eat and drink.
The highlight of the afternoon is a foraging and outdoor cooking demonstration on Stamford Square from 12pm to 2pm, led by experts from Totally Wild UK in partnership with Mountain Warehouse.
Visitors can learn what's currently in season, how to forage safely and pick up practical tips on outdoor cooking.
Younger visitors are catered for with drop-in craft sessions from Søstrene Grene, where children can design their own quirky culinary creations, alongside a colouring station run by TJ Jones.
On the food front, Costa Coffee and Co-op On the Go will be offering treats throughout the afternoon, while Yum Cha and Nell's Pizza will be serving dim sum and New York-style pizza.
Dog owners will also be pleased to hear that Starbucks is laying on complimentary pup-cups for four-legged visitors.
The event is organised by Altrincham BID, the team behind Visit Altrincham, as part of the broader A Taste of Altrincham festival taking place across the town.
Admission is free and no booking is required.
