Parking enforcement is returning to Trafford’s streets after lockdown break

Trafford Council is to begin to enforce residents-only parking once again.

Trafford Council is to begin to enforce residents-only parking once again.

The local authority relaxed its normal rules once lockdown began in March, but says that “with more shops and businesses reopening”, the usual restrictions will apply again.

Trafford will initially be issuing advisory notices for a period of two weeks from today, with enforcement starting from Monday June 22nd.

It’s asked permit holders whose permit has expired during lockdown to renew it through the Council website.

Cllr James Wright, Trafford Council Executive Member for Housing and Regeneration, said: “It’s important that we ensure that cars are parked correctly and safely, especially now that we are seeing more and more traffic on our roads again.”
