Park Medical Practice is leaving its Park Road home of 40 years for a new purpose-built site in Timperley village.

All 6,300 patients will be relocated to the new Stockport Road site as part of Trafford Housing Trust’s £7m mixed-use development strategy.

The new site – expected to be finished by the summer – will occupy the ground floor of the building, sitting directly below the new Timperley Library.

Facilities will include an onsite pharmacy, improved clinical rooms, more than 70 car parking spaces, and enhanced disabled access.

The Park Medical Practice has been on Park Road for 40 years

Martin Dawson, Project Manager at Assura, said: “As Park Medical Practice’s new long-term property partner, we are delighted to support their relocation.

He added: “The new building will be a great asset to staff and patients especially at a time when the importance of fit for purpose primary care infrastructure has never been greater. This is a major leap forward for the practice.”

Dr Nigel Guest, GP Partner at Park Medical Practice, said: “While we will be sorry to leave our current premises on Park Road – my home since 1999 – the improved technology and larger facilities for staff and patients will enable us to look to the future.”

Although its address is changing, Park Medical Practice has confirmed that its contact details will remain the same during and after the move.
