A car collided with the front of Domino’s Pizza in Altrincham last evening.

Police and fire crews were called to Sinderland Road at 4.30pm, with photos from the scene showing the vehicle having smashed straight into the front of the takeaway.

Officers were at the scene for around an hour and 20 minutes. It’s not known if there were any injuries.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just before 4.30pm on Thursday 26 August, firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving a car that had gone into a shop front on Sinderland Road, Altrincham.

“One fire engine from Altrincham arrived quickly and assisted colleagues from Greater Manchester Police to make the car and scene safe. Crews were in attendance for around 1 hour and 20 minutes.”

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police later added that three occupants of the vehicle had fled.

A police spokesperson said: “At around 3.45pm, officers were called to reports of a collision between a car and a shop on Sinderland Road, Altrincham.

“It appears as though three men who were in the car have made off.”
