The man who famously handed Theresa May a P45 form during her keynote speech at the Conservative Party Conference is headlining a special comedy show at The Bowdon Rooms in September.
Simon Brodkin, who also once showered disgraced FIFA president Sepp Blatter with hundreds of dollar bills in bribe payments, has made global headlines on multiple occasions thanks to his high-profile stunts under the name of Lee Nelson.
And he’ll be appearing at The Bowdon Rooms on Thursday 8th September in a show hosted by Noel Brodie and featuring a number of other special guests, including Live at the Apollo’s Nathan Caton.
Named the “world’s most famous blagger” by The Daily Telegraph, Brodkin was also followed by Channel 4 show Britain’s Greatest Hoaxer in 2017, when he surrounded President Donald Trump with 60 swastika-emblazoned golf balls as part of the “new Trump Golfing range”.
Other stunts included attaching a 25-foot sign to the side of shamed former BHS owner Sir Philip Green’s £100m superyacht, renaming it the ‘BHS Destroyer’.
He also joined Kanye West as the American performed his headline Glastonbury set on the Pyramid Stage, rapping in front of 200,000 people with a toy microphone he’d bought from Argos.
And he appeared incognito on Britain’s Got Talent as the ultra-orthodox Jewish rapper Steven Goldblatt (aka ‘The Rapping Rabbi’), fooling Simon Cowell and the other judges to win four ‘yeses’.
The show on September 8th follows the sell-out success of a comedy show featuring Ed Gamble back in January.
