A new cocktail and karaoke bar is opening in Altrincham town centre from the team behind Common Ground coffee shop.
Alibi will be opening in the unit formerly occupied by The Drawing Room on Friday September 2nd, once a renovation of the space is complete.
It had originally been intended to open in 2020 but the project was delayed by Covid.
It’ll be open from Thursday to Sunday every week and also plans to open on other weekdays for big events, including the World Cup this winter.
Alibi is owned by business partners Carl Peters and Richard Littman, who took over Common Ground last year after establishing a reputation in London with venues such as Translate in Shoreditch, Steam & Rye and The Coronet.
Peters said: “We are so excited to be launching Alibi in Altrincham. It’s been a long time coming and we know it’s going to be a venue that is loved by locals of all ages.
“We’ve created the ideal space to unwind with friends and have some truly carefree fun after a long week.”
The bar will feature a downstairs karaoke space which will be available for private bookings for groups of up to 16 people.
Littman added: “We know the Altrincham nightlife scene well and we are confident that Alibi is going to be a popular spot with those who love to party.
“We’re getting everything ready for the launch in September when the karaoke machine will be geared up and the cocktails will be flowing… we can’t wait!”
