The number of official cases of coronavirus in Trafford has risen to 19, according to Public Health England.
Overall in the UK, as of 9am this morning, a total of 78,340 people have been tested, with 72,657 negative and 5,683 testing positive for coronavirus.
Of those positive results, 281 have died.
The actual number to have coronavirus is thought to be much higher, however, with testing largely restricted to patients who have been admitted to hospital.
Earlier, Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned that government would take “further measures” to enforce social distancing advice if it is not respected.
In his daily briefing at Downing Street, he told the country he still wants people to be able to visit parks and open spaces as it was “crucial for health, physical and mental well-being”.
He added: “But please follow that advice and don’t think that fresh air in itself automatically provides some immunity. People should still stay two metres apart.
“It is very important for people’s mental and physical wellbeing that they should be able to get out and exercise. That is why parks and open spaces are absolutely crucial.”
Communities Secretary Robert Jenrick also unveiled new “shielding” measures designed to protect up to 1.5 million people deemed to be most at risk of being hospitalised by coronavirus.
These include people with specific cancers, transplants and those with other underlying health conditions, and involves them staying at home for at least 12 weeks.
