Specialist running and fitness retailer realbuzz is to celebrate the first anniversary of its Altrincham store with a special 15% off event this Saturday and a guest appearance from Team GB athlete Jenny Meadows.
realbuzz opened its then fourth store on George Street last August and has since rapidly expanded to 13 stores across the UK, including a recently opened flagship store in Piccadilly Circus in London.
Saturday’s event at the Altrincham store – next door to WHSmith in the Stamford Quarter – will see 15% discounted from all full price items for the day, as well as competitions, prize vouchers to be won and birthday party food served in-store.
And Team GB 800 metres runner Jenny Meadows, a former world championship bronze medallist and Diamond League gold medallist, will be in-store from 12 to 3pm to meet customers and chat all things running and training.
realbuzz Altrincham is the town’s only specialist running and fitness store and offers the latest footwear, clothing and accessories from major brands including Nike, adidas, ASICS, Brooks, Mizuno and Saucony.
It was founded by Tim Rogers, who has completed over 70 marathons and is a former world record holder for running the fastest time for an official marathon on all seven continents, and is highly involved in the product selection process.
He said: “The running and fitness community of Altrincham and surrounding areas has welcomed us with open arms.
“We now host a weekly social run from the store on Tuesdays – all ability levels are welcome, and it’s been a great way to get to know local runners.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming customers old and new to our 1st birthday event to celebrate a fantastic year in the town.”
