A leading plastic surgeon has opened a new private clinic in Altrincham town centre.
Andrea Marando has relocated Star Clinic from Manchester city centre to a new purpose-built facility within Gallant House, on the site of the former Regent Road car park.
The clinic incorporates two operating theatres, private en-suite rooms and is one of the first in the UK to offer SKINSTORM, a new non-surgical skin treatment.
The new facility allows Mr Marando and his team of doctors, nurses and medical staff to offer clients full wraparound cosmetic surgery with overnight stays and non-surgical treatments.
“For the last five years, my wife and business partner, Tonia and I have dreamt about creating our own purpose-built facility,” said Mr Marando, who lives with his family in Bowdon.
“We wanted a clinic where we could control all aspects of service and procedures for our patients, using our skill and specific technology to optimise care, treatment and outcomes.
“People travel from all over the North West, UK and the world to Star Clinic, so we selected Altrincham for its accessibility and connectivity and because it is a thriving town with a great community.”
The clinic employs 12 members of staff, with plans to expand the team throughout 2024.
Over the course of his career, Mr Marando has held senior positions with some of the UK’s largest cosmetic and prestigious clinics.
He has consulted from leading private hospitals, including Harley Street in London, the Wilmslow Hospital and his practice on Deansgate, Manchester.
He has also spent time in Paris working for the Marie Curie Cancer Centre, supporting breast cancer patients with reconstructive surgery.
