Job: Clinic Co-ordinator – Bank Staff at Altius Healthcare

This is a bank role where you will be given some set working hours per week but is generally working on an “as and when required” basis.

Altius Healthcare is a leading physiotherapy and treatment clinic based in Hale, with additional clinics in Manchester and Bury. We offer a broad range of elite sport, corporate and wellness services.

We currently have a vacancy for a Clinic Co-ordinator to join our team of staff in the Hale clinic.

This is a bank role where you will be given some set working hours per week but is generally working on an “as and when required” basis. You will also be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. Evening and some Saturday working will be required. 

Current hours available: 12 hours including one evening, 1 Saturday in 3, as well as additional hours during busy school holiday periods and other annual leave.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Previous administration experience
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software, systems and Microsoft packages
  • Basic financial awareness
  • Customer service skills
  • Calm, efficient and organized
  • The ability to listen and respond to client needs
  • Excellent personal presentation and communication skills
  • A passion for delivering exceptional levels of client service

Main purpose of the role

  • To provide comprehensive administrative and customer service support service for Altius Healthcare. The Clinic Co-ordinator role is essential to the smooth running of the clinic as well as to assisting the team in other locations. The post-holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and have responsibility for providing a high quality administrative and clerical service.   

Summary of duties

  • First point of contact for all persons attending the Hale clinic, including patients, staff, visitors, consultants and contractors
  • Making, changing and cancelling appointments
  • Answering telephone enquiries
  • Liaising with external hospitals and other clinics 
  • To generate documents such as consultant, patient and GP letters 
  • Work closely with medical secretaries, clinic/hospital managers and reception staff
  • Clinic administration, front of house and data entry onto booking system as required
  • Taking payments
  • Patient facing customer service
