Police have issued a warning to parents and children about the danger of drugs as a 13-year-old boy remained “critical but stable” after being taken ill at Timperley Metrolink station on Saturday.

Police have issued a warning to parents and children about the danger of drugs as a 13-year-old boy remained “critical but stable” after being taken ill at Timperley Metrolink station on Saturday.

Emergency services found the boy seriously ill at around 4.30pm on Saturday and he remains in hospital.

It’s thought he had taken an ecstasy pill known was “Magic”.

Greater Manchester Police have now circulated a website known as FRANK and urged parents and children to read the independent advice given about the risks involved in drug taking.

A police spokesman said: “The FRANK website shows the risk involved in drug taking. It shows images of different drugs and their side affects. There are no benefits from drugs and tragically they could end your life.

“We do not currently know what drug the boy, found at Timperley Metrolink Station, has taken. Use the hashtag #‎SayNoToDrugs‬ or please type in your browser www.talktofrank.com
