"It exceeded every expectation": The Brit Fest draws record 35,000 crowd

The presale for next year opens on Thursday.

A record 35,000 visitors celebrated The Brit Fest 2026 across four days at Ashley Hall Showground - and fans can now secure their spot for next year, with an exclusive Weekend Ticket Presale opening at 10am on Thursday.

The limited presale offers loyal supporters the chance to lock in tickets at the best available prices ahead of the full launch in September, when the 2027 line-up, VIP experiences and accommodation options will be announced.

Next year's dates have been revealed as July 15-18 2027, two weeks later than normal.

This year's festival - the biggest in its three-year history - saw headline performances from Happy Mondays, Holly Johnson and ABC, with more than 100 live acts taking to the stage across four days.

From the opening night spectacular of Symphonic Ibiza with Angie Brown through to the final encore on Sunday, the event delivered what many are already calling one of the North West's standout music weekends of the summer.

The ever-popular Little Big Top and Busk Stops became festival destinations in their own right, showcasing over 40 grassroots and emerging artists alongside household names.

Beyond the stages, thousands explored local food producers, independent traders, artisan markets and family attractions, providing a significant boost to businesses across Altrincham, Hale, Knutsford and the wider region.

Commercial Director Anthony Prophet said: "To see 35,000 people enjoying themselves over four incredible days is something we're immensely proud of. The atmosphere from the moment the gates opened on Thursday until the final encore on Sunday night was simply magical.

"The Brit Fest has never just been about the artists on stage. It's about community. It's about creating opportunities for emerging artists, celebrating local businesses, bringing people together and creating memories that last a lifetime. This year's event exceeded every expectation we had."

The organisers paid tribute to the team behind the scenes, including staff, contractors, security personnel, medics, volunteers, production crews and suppliers who worked for months to bring the event to life.

Special thanks were given to festival partners including ABC+ Warranty, Delta Hotels Manchester Airport, Transport for Greater Manchester, Tatton Estates, Seashell Trust, Showbase, Skiddle and ShowSec, as well as local authorities, emergency services and neighbouring communities who helped welcome thousands of visitors into the area.

"Every person who buys a ticket, pours a drink, builds a stage, parks a car, serves a meal, volunteers their time or simply comes along to enjoy the music becomes part of The Brit Fest family," Prophet added.

"This festival belongs to all of us, and we couldn't be prouder of what we've built together."

The full 2027 line-up will be announced when tickets go on general sale in September. Fans are encouraged to register for the presale and follow The Brit Fest on social media for updates.
