A woman in her 90s was taken to hospital this afternoon after a road traffic collision in Hale village this afternoon.
Three cars were involved in the incident on Ashley Road, which happened close to Hale Clock Tower shortly before 1.30pm.
The incident sparked a significant emergency response, with eight police cars, three fire engines and an ambulance spotted at the scene.
A section of the road was also taped off while the elderly woman, who was driving a small silver-coloured car, was extricated from her vehicle.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service told Altrincham Today that the woman had suffered minor injuries only.
People in the other two cars involved - a small white car and a larger black one - were unhurt.
