Gyms, swimming pools and leisure centres have finally been given the green light to reopen.

Oliver Dowden, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, has this evening confirmed that they will be allowed to reopen from Saturday July 25th.

He stressed that timed bookng systems, spaced-out equipment, reduced-size classes and enhanced cleaning regimes would be required.

The news is a boost for the likes of Pure Gym and Total Fitness, which have Altrincham centres, and Altrincham Leisure Centre.

Recently, Total Fitness gave an insight into how it has redesigned its Altrincham gym to comply with social distancing regulations.
