Orangetheory Fitness to run special fundraising classes at Altrincham gym - and they're free to attend

They'll take place on February 15th and 16th.

Orangetheory Fitness Altrincham is to run special classes later this month to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

The free classes, where participants will be encouraged to donate to the charity, are marking National Heart Health month and will take place on February 15th and 16th.

Orangetheory Fitness launched its first gym outside London when it opened on George Street in January 2019.

Its approach to fitness blends science, coaching and technology to elevate participants’ heart rates and help burn more calories for up to 24 hours after a workout.

Orangetheory coaches work participants through five different heart rate zones

The special class next week will see participants move between the treadmill, weights and rower.

Each will be set up with a heart rate monitor, projecting their real time statistics, including calories, average heart rate percentages and zone, onto the in-studio screens.

Throughout the class, Orangetheory coaches will work participants through five different heart rate zones: resting, easy, challenging, uncomfortable and All Out.

The goal is to spend just 12 to 20 minutes with your heart rate elevated in “The Orange Zone” to supercharge your metabolism and improve cardiorespiratory health.
