Luxury beauty and wellbeing brand Rituals is the latest big name to open a new store in Altrincham town centre.
We can exclusively confirm that the Amsterdam-based brand will be taking over the unit previously occupied by Skanda in the Stamford Quarter, with an opening date set for next month.
Known for its range of bath, home and body products inspired by ancient Eastern and Western traditions, Rituals is the latest major retailer to choose Altrincham.
Planning documents submitted to Trafford Council reveal the company is seeking consent to display new signage for the George Street location, including an illuminated fascia sign and projecting blade sign with antique brass finishes.
The move comes as Rituals continues its aggressive UK growth strategy, with the company reporting record sales of €2.1 billion globally in 2024.
In the UK and Ireland alone, the brand achieved sales of €172 million last year, a 39% increase from 2023.

Rituals currently operates around 90 stores across the UK and Ireland and plans to open 37 new outlets across both markets this year.
David Charlton, Head of Asset Management at Bruntwood, which co-owns the Stamford Quarter with Trafford Council, welcomed the new arrival: "We are delighted to be welcoming Rituals to the Stamford Quarter. As a brand committed to wellbeing and sustainability, it is the perfect fit for our high street.
"This latest arrival shows just how much the Stamford Quarter is thriving as we continue to attract exciting stores, big brands and independent businesses."
Cllr Liz Patel, Trafford Council's Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration, added: "Altrincham is a fantastic place to live, visit, shop and do business. We are very pleased to welcome Rituals to our town centre."

Founded in 2000 by former Unilever employee Raymond Cloosterman from a basement in Amsterdam, Rituals has grown to become a global luxury brand with more than 1,300 shops across 42 countries.
The company has also launched a "profit pledge", donating 10% of its net profits to charitable causes including healthcare and education projects in Mumbai and rainforest protection in Colombia.
The plans comes as part of the ongoing regeneration of the Stamford Quarter, which has seen significant transformation following a £14m joint acquisition by Bruntwood and Trafford Council in October 2019.
Recent developments include the creation of Foundation, a collaborative workspace and leisure destination featuring a 375 sq m living biophilic wall.
The area is now home to leading independent and national hospitality brands including Nell's Pizza, Yum Cha, Lane7 and Starbucks.
Last year the Stamford Quarter also welcomed new retail openings including Mountain Warehouse and Crew Clothing and the first bricks-and-mortar concept store for online beauty retailer LOOKFANTASTIC.
And it recently announced plans to split the vacant former Poundland unit on George Street into three separate retail spaces.
