A Taste of Altrincham 2026: Full programme revealed for 10-day food festival

It's been designed to appeal to a wide audience.

A Taste of Altrincham returns for its second year with an expanded programme of food, drink and creative events celebrating the town's independent hospitality scene.

Running from Friday 27th February to Sunday 8th March, the 10-day festival will feature workshops, talks, tastings, demonstrations and experiences hosted by venues across the town centre.

This year's programme has been designed to appeal to a wide audience, showcasing not only great food and drink but also the stories, skills and personalities behind Altrincham's independent businesses, with plenty happening for families and younger visitors too.

Among the standout events is Blanchflower Does Dinner, offering a four-course dinner focused on hyper-local, seasonal ingredients, while wine lovers can also enjoy a Wine & Cheese Night at Alibi, pairing five wines with five cheeses in a relaxed, social setting.

One highlight is a Wine & Cheese Night at Alibi

The programme also includes a strong line-up of talks and hands-on workshops. In Conversation with Emma Thackray, founder of gut-friendly drinks brand Hip Pop, will explore how a kitchen experiment grew into a nationally stocked business, sharing insights into building a values-led brand.

Organised by Altrincham BID, proudly sponsored by Myerson Solicitors and supported by UKSPF funding, the festival builds on last year's successful inaugural event.
