The Irish Deli is to close this week to make way for a new "day-to-night concept" including a new venture called Paddy's Pizza.
Kennedy Hospitality Ltd, which also operates Kennedy's Irish Bar next door, will shut the deli for the final time this Friday, 27th June.
It will then be "transforming" the space before taking the venue "in a whole new direction".
A premises licence application lodged with Trafford Council reveals the replacement venture will trade as Paddy's Pizza at the same Greenwood Street address.
The licence application seeks permission to serve alcohol seven days a week, with late-night hours until midnight on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, along with recorded music and late night refreshment on those evenings. The business would open until 00:30 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
The Irish Deli had hinted at the change a few days ago, posting a notice to say it had "listened carefully to customer feedback" and was working on "something BIG" for Altrincham.
It said: "We're now transforming the space into an exciting new day-to-night concept that will take the venue in a whole new direction. Think great coffee, casual daytime catch-ups, food and socialising by day, evolving into a vibrant destination to meet, eat, drink and enjoy by night.

"We're incredibly proud of everything The Irish Deli has been and the support you've shown us since day one. But we're even more excited about what's coming next."
The Irish Deli first opened in September 2024, selling sandwiches, cakes, coffee and food and drink sourced from Ireland. It was the only place in England to stock Pure Roast Coffee from Northern Ireland.
Before closing on Friday, the deli is running a closing sale with 40% off everything, excluding alcohol and fridge drinks.
